Jay Ganesh Mandir In Malvan

The Temple's History:

The Malvan Jay Ganesh temple is now on the list of tourist attractions. Shri Jayantrao Salgaonkar, a renowned astrologer and the author of the well-known almanack 'Kalnirnay,' built the temple. The temple was built according to the religious principles of temple architecture in India and is located in the Medha locality of Malvan on the ancestral family land of Salgaonkars. Shri Jayantrao personally oversaw construction. 

This main idol in the sanctum sanctorum is in the traditional pose, with the Lord's consorts, Riddhi and Siddhi, on both sides. Siddhi holds a Dhol (an Indian conventional percussion instrument) and a sword, while Riddhi has a pen and paper. The ceiling of the hall is adorned with eight Ganesh idols. One gets the impression that Lord Ganesh looks benevolently at his disciple from all eight directions. The temple's interior is very rich, with soothing colours.
